COUNTERSPACE UPCOMING EVENTS
12/06 ANTIUNIVERSITY In the framework of our current lockdown and Antiuniversity Festival 2020, Counterspace’s curator and activist Cristina Morales will hold a virtual space for an Experimental Decolonial Lab in partnership with East London radical space The Common House. The Lab will provide an in-depth introduction to the concept of decoloniality, contemporary decolonial practices with practical cases, and most importantly a collective exploration of the subject. The Lab will be happening on Zoom on Friday 12th of June from 6 to 7.45 pm – London time, consisting of two parts of 45 min each. It is fully free, available to everyone, everywhere, with a maximum capacity of 25 people to enable the final conversation properly in a limited amount of time. The Labs will be happening on a monthly basis if missing a chance or interested in continuity. Paradigm #1 for this one is of course COVID-19. Registrations here are needed to provide Zoom login details. You are also invited to optionally bring related insights written down on a notebook that you have had during this quarantine, and if you haven’t yet and interested, to start gathering them. Save the date in your diaries, keep well and see you there.
08/20 SHAMBALA Counterspace has been invited to join the ‘Cyborg Shamanism Panel‘ by Adah Parris in next Shambala Festival taking place from the 27th to the 30th of August in Northamptonshire. The panel will consist of a short Adah Parris talk followed by interviews to the speakers and then one big panel session. Among the panellists, Counterspace curator Cristina Morales will be sharing the space with architect Antonio Pisano from Marcel Mauer Studio. Further details will be provided soon and in the mid time you can visit: www.shambalafestival.org
