‘He will not divide us’ is an ongoing performance by LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner.

Starting the 20th of January 2017, the day of the inauguration of he 45th President of the United States, the public was invited to deliver the words ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ into a camera mounted on a wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image in New York, repeating the phrase as many times, and for as long as they wished.

Open to all, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the participatory performance will be live-streamed continuously for four years, or the duration of the presidency. In this way, the mantra ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.

On 18th February 2017, the project relocated to a wall outside the El Rey Theater, Albuquerque.
On 8th March 2017, the project moved to an unknown location. A flag emblazoned with the words ‘HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US’ will be flown for the duration.
On 22nd March 2017, the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, Liverpool, adopted the project.
On 16th October 2017, Le lieu unique, Nantes, adopted the project.
On 8th June 2018, the work was installed in its original format at Muzeum Sztuki, Łódź, for the exhibition ‘Peer-to-Peer. Collective Practices in New Art’ until the 28th October 2018.On 29th October 2018, the stream returned to Le lieu unique in Nantes.
