Lifta is a multidisciplinary and multilingual counter-narrative platform that explores histories and issues of the Middle East and North Africa. Crafted by people of the region, their inaugural project is a book centred on Future Palestine featuring writers, poets, architects, curators, researchers and artists from Palestine and its diaspora.
With an emphasis on design, community and anti-colonial narratives, Lifta exists as a flexible entity to allow it to produce projects spanning a variety of mediums and locations. Future projects will take the form of travelling exhibitions, video and other art forms exploring social practice so far supported by the Qattan Foundation.
