Burnt Roti is a London based magazine edited by Sharan Dhaliwal providing a supportive platform for south Asians to start conversations about a myriad of issues that affect them, from racism and mental illness to coming out to religious family members, feminism and celebrating south Asian creatives doing amazing work.

‘The reason behind the name Burnt Roti is that a lot of what we’re taught in our early education would be to take care of the men in our families so as a form of activism I found myself burning rotis’ – Sharan Dhaliwal states.

Burnt Roti has been featured at Somerset House’s exhibition Print! Tearing It Up showcasing independent British magazines challenging the mainstream that are changing the world.
