Power not Pity is a New York-based podcast that centers and celebrates the lived experiences of disabled people of color.
The show explores the worlds of people in their community who dare to interrogate the dominant narrative of what survival feels like for a disabled person of color during these trying times. They all demonstrate what it means to thrive fully and authentically, while dismantling ableism and racism by listening to each other’s stories. The podcast serves as a vehicle for amplifying, preserving, and delighting their voices committed to disability justice, in conversation with cultural workers, writers, artists and storytellers within the community.
